Bashar Alhroub, born in Jerusalem in 1978 and raised in Hebron, currently resides and works in Ramallah. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Al-Najah National University, Palestine, in 2001. Later, he was awarded the Ford Foundation fellowship to pursue a Master of Fine Arts, which he completed in 2010 at the Winchester School of Art, the University of Southampton in the UK.

In 2012, Alhroub received the first grand prize at the 14th Art Asian Biennial in Bangladesh.
