Barbara Kapusta
Barbara Kapusta's work delves into the intricacies of both verbal and non-verbal communication between people and objects. Her art probes the relationship between the physicality of objects and the observer's bodily presence. The convergence of the body with matter and language recurs frequently in her creative practice. She imbues materiality with a queer agency that encourages diversity and vulnerability. Recently, her films, text-based pieces, and objects were exhibited at The Giant, Gianni Manhattan in Vienna (2018), Kunsthalle Praha in Prague (2018) in the show Vice Versa: Our Earth Is Their Moon, Our Moon Is Their Earth, and at Ashley Berlin's Empathic Creatures (2018). Kapusta is presently based in Vienna.
