Adriana Ciudad
Adriana Ciudad Witzel, a Peruvian-German artist, has been residing in Bogota since 2014. Prior to her return to Latin America, she lived in Berlin, where she pursued her studies at the UdK-University of the Arts and completed her MA in Fine Arts in 2008. Recently, her artworks were exhibited at several venues such as MAC Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Lima, Tegenboschvanvreden Gallery in Amsterdam, BIENALSUR in Buenos Aires, Crisis Gallery in Lima, Museum La Tertulia in Cali, La Casa del Lago in Mexico City, Y Gallery in New York, SACObienal in Antofagasta, and NC-arte in Bogotá, among others.
Adriana Ciudad Witzel received several accolades, including the UNDP Grant (United Nations Development Programme) to develop the Alabaos Project, the prestigious scholarship from the DAAD Program (German Academic Exchange Service) to execute a project in Los Angeles, and the Painter Prize of the Dorothea Konwiarz Foundation in Berlin. She has also held residencies at Lugar a Dudas in Cali and SACObienal in Antofagasta, among others.
