Rik De Boe's Art Style
Rik De Boe's latest charcoal drawings delve into the interplay between interior and exterior spaces. He concentrates on house facades and interiors, doors, windows, curtains and blinds. In addition to these motifs, De Boe also creates images of art, including paintings by Piet Mondrian and other modern abstract artists, reflecting various spatial effects created by the surrounding environment.
Rik De Boe employs white or light blue paper for his charcoal drawings, effectively capturing different light moods. Recently, he has incorporated pure colors into his work to enhance certain pictorial motifs in pictures or as a brief accent. It's important to mention that while the artist used a standard size for all his drawings in the past, he has recently begun creating larger pieces.
