Raul Silva

Raul Silva is a young contemporary artist from Peru, born in 1991. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and later pursued his Master's degree in Fine Arts at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, UK.

Silva's works often explore the intersections of identity, culture, and globalization through mixed media, painting, and installation art. He frequently draws from his own experiences growing up in Peru and the impact of Western influence on Peruvian culture.

Silva's art has been exhibited in various group shows in Peru, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He has also had solo exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lima, Peru, and at the Copperfield Gallery in London. In 2019, he was awarded the Gasworks International Fellowship in London, where he continued to develop his artistic practice.
