Mattia Bonetti

Mattia Bonetti is a Paris-based artist and designer who was born in Lugano, Switzerland in 1952. He is known for his eclectic and imaginative furniture designs, which combine traditional craftsmanship with avant-garde forms and materials.

Bonetti began his career as a sculptor before turning to furniture design in the 1980s. He quickly gained recognition for his playful and unconventional approach to design, which often featured bold colors, whimsical shapes, and unexpected combinations of materials such as resin, brass, and leather. Some of Bonetti's notable furniture designs include the "Drago" chair, which features a sculptural backrest inspired by a dragon's tail, and the "Acanthe" cabinet, which is adorned with intricate brass foliage. He has also collaborated with a number of luxury brands, including Hermès, Cartier, and Davidoff, to create limited-edition furniture pieces and decorative objects.
