 Leo Orta's Art Style

As the artist himself stated, he draws inspiration from various sources, such as psychoanalysis, where he explores the subconscious and the imaginary, seeking to express emotions through his work. He is also drawn to the metaphors of artists like Henry Moore and the emotional expressions of Niki de Saint Phalle, drawing upon their influential works.

More recently I've been looking at David Altmejd's work for its intuitive relationship to form and its changes of state caused by materials... or Phyllida Barlow who uses readily available materials, often discarding or recycling them for new projects.

Furthermore, Leo Orta has been fascinated by industry and its factories, as they provide insight into the cycles of production, from creation to final usage. He is particularly interested in exploring innovative approaches such as upcycling and repurposing, rather than simply discarding materials, to foster new modes of thinking.

Last but not least, on nature, its organic aesthetics, the beauty of the biodiversity but also how fast and how devastating it disappears...
