Kayode Ojo
Kayode Ojo is a contemporary artist who was born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1990, and currently lives and works in New York City. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in 2012.
Ojo's work has been featured in several exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles, as well as in Paris and Berlin. In 2021, his work was included in the group exhibitions "Lost & Found" at Martos Gallery in New York City, and "Lucky For Men" at Bortolami Gallery, also in New York City. He has also had solo exhibitions at Martos Gallery in 2020, titled "The Aviator," and at Praz-Delavallade in Los Angeles, titled "Never Been Kissed."
Ojo's work often features found objects and everyday materials, which he transforms into playful and colorful sculptures that explore themes of identity, desire, and consumption. His work has been described as "surreal, minimalist, and evocative."
