Justine Neuberger
Justine Neuberger, born in Brooklyn in 1993, is a New York-based artist whose works capture dreamlike scenarios and reimagine her heritage and tradition in unique forms. Her romanticism finds roots in the cherishing of traditions, as she observes the past from a view askew and offers it a mesmerizing new appearance.
Neuberger uses painting techniques borrowed from Renaissance and folk art, paying great attention to details, while also opposing the overpowering megalomania of progress and innovation that threatens tradition.
Justine Neuberger's recent solo exhibitions include Firmament of Time at Clima Gallery, Milan (2021) and Green World at 15 Orient Gallery, New York. Her recent group exhibitions include a two-person show with Vijay Masharani at MiArt Fair, Milan (2021), The Frog Show at Real Pain, New York (2021), and Free Fall at Shoot the Lobster, Los Angeles (2021), and Night Shift at 17 Essex Gallery, New York (2020).
She lives and works in New York City.
