Hicham Berrada

Hicham Berrada is a contemporary artist known for his multi-disciplinary approach that combines science, technology, and art. Born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1986, Berrada currently lives and works in Paris, France.

Berrada's work often involves experimenting with various chemical reactions and natural processes, such as crystallization, photosynthesis, and bioluminescence. He uses these phenomena to create installations, sculptures, and videos that explore the relationship between humans and the natural world.

One of Berrada's most well-known works is "Présage," a series of video installations that capture the process of crystallization in real time. The videos are displayed on large screens and accompanied by sound, creating an immersive experience for viewers.

He has exhibited his work internationally, including at the Centre Pompidou, Paris, the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, the Maubuisson Abbey, in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, the Frankfurter Kunstverein, Frankfurt-am-Main, and the ICAS–Institute of Contemporary Art, Singapore.
