Biography of Eria Nsubuga 'Sane'
Eria Nsubuga 'Sane' was born in 1979. He completed his Master's in Fine Art (Sculpture) at Makerere University's Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Arts. Additionally, he holds a practice-based Ph.D. from the Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton, UK.
Since 2002, the artist has hosted multiple solo exhibitions in Kampala and has actively taken part in numerous local and international group shows, biennales, and exhibitions.
Eria Nsubuga's artwork has been showcased at prominent venues such as the Milan Triennale, Tate Modern, Cape Town Art Fair, David Krut Projects, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Currently, Sane serves as a lecturer at the Department of Art and Design at Ugandan Christian University in Mukono, engaging in painting, illustration, and sculpture practices.
