Aloys Zötl
Aloys Zötl (1803-1887) was an Austrian painter known for his vivid depictions of animals and nature. He was born in Waidhofen an der Ybbs, Austria and spent much of his life in Linz.
Zötl's work is characterized by his attention to detail and his ability to capture the unique characteristics and personalities of the animals he painted. He was particularly skilled at depicting birds, and his paintings often show the birds in lifelike poses and with intricate feather patterns.
Zötl's love of animals and nature was evident throughout his life, and he spent much of his time exploring the countryside and observing wildlife. He also collected and studied animal specimens, which he used as models for his paintings.
