TUCCI RUSSO Studio per l'Arte Contemporanea
The TUCCI RUSSO Gallery was established in Turin in 1975. The gallery's inaugural exhibition featured Pier Paolo Calzolari and has since represented numerous artists from the Arte Povera group, including Giovanni Anselmo, Mario Merz, Marisa Merz, Giulio Paolini, and Giuseppe Penone. Notably, the gallery's exhibition spaces were located in the same building and floor as Merz's studio for many years.
Over time, TUCCI RUSSO Gallery has also represented other notable artists such as Daniel Buren, Tony Cragg (who had his first show at the gallery in 1984), Lili Dujourie, Harald Klingelhöller, Richard Long, Maria Nordman, Alfredo Pirri, Thomas Schütte (whose first solo show in Italy was at the gallery in 1986), and Jan Vercruysse.
The gallery has always been interested in discovering new artistic tendencies and has recently begun working with younger artists such as Mario Airò, Christiane Löhr, Paolo Piscitelli, Robin Rhode, and Conrad Shawcross.
