Biography of Sujith S. N.

Born in 1979 in Baroda, Gujarat, Sujith S. N. is a talented Indian artist with a diverse educational background. In 2005, he earned his BFA from the College of Fine Arts, Thrissur, University of Calicut. Subsequently, in 2007, he completed an MFA from the Sarojini Naidu School of Fine Arts, Performing Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Sujith holds a diploma as a civil draughtsman.

Sujith has garnered several awards and accolades. Notable among these are the Kerala Lalit Kala Academy special mention award in 2004, the Kerala Lalit Kala Academy state award in 2005, and the Foundation of Indian Contemporary Art emerging artist award in 2011. He was long-listed for the Skoda Prize and became a finalist for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize in 2019.

His solo exhibitions have been held at renowned galleries such as Aicon Gallery in New York, Vadehra Art Gallery in New Delhi, Sakshi Gallery in Mumbai, Forum Art Gallery in Chennai, and HSLU in Luzern, Switzerland. Additionally, he has actively participated in various group exhibitions, showcasing his work in esteemed venues, including Bose Krishnamachari in Kerala, Kalakriti Art Gallery in Hyderabad, Shrine Empire in New Delhi, Akara Art in Mumbai, Hong Kong, Religare Art in Delhi, Durbar Hall in Kochi, William Benton Museum in the USA, and Bodhi Gallery in New Delhi, among others.

Presently, the artist resides and works in Mumbai, India.
