Siobhan Liddell's Art Style
Siobhan Liddell's work explores moments ranging from the most ordinary to the profoundly significant. Through depictions of buildings, landscapes, gardens, and bedrooms, her art navigates the complex, layered experience of being alive—capturing the subtleties, complexities, and depths of love, longing, and loss.
The imagery blends melancholy with playfulness, featuring echoes of bodies, faces, and animals. The ceramic objects within these scenes interact in inventive ways, challenging our perceptions of form and space. While the lived narratives are palpable, the deeper stories within the imagery remain elusive, much like how a poem's essence can be lost when explained. Liddell’s paintings thrive in their enigmatic quality.
