Monique van Genderen
Monique van Genderen explores materiality, surface, and the vocabulary of Modernist abstraction across a wide spectrum of paintings and wall installations.
She merges the heritage of Abstract Expressionism—embracing color field painting, hard-edged, and post-painterly abstraction—with influences from commercial design and contemporary painting sensibilities to investigate painting as an art form.
