Marco Pariani’s Art Style
Incorporating large-scale paintings characterized by emotive gestures reminiscent of Abstract Expressionism, Marco Pariani employs a labor-intensive process. His method involves the application of numerous layers of gesso, tinted in various colors and meticulously sanded down to produce a distinctively textured surface. This intricate preparation spans several days, emphasizing the importance of both color and process in Pariani's artistic endeavors.
The canvases he creates are rich with elements such as sprayed dots and lines, embossed textures, slashes from oil sticks, and energetic brushstrokes. Occupying a dynamic and ambiguous realm, these works exist in the interplay between figuration and abstraction.
