Malcolm Morley

Malcolm Morley (1931-2018) was an English-born American painter and a pioneer of photorealism and neo-expressionism. He was born in London and later moved to New York City in the 1950s, where he began his career as an artist.

Morley's early work was characterized by a hyperrealistic style, in which he painted everyday objects, landscapes, and scenes with meticulous attention to detail. Later in his career, he became associated with the neo-expressionist movement, creating works that were more gestural and emotional.
