Jesse Willenbring

Jesse Willenbring is an American contemporary artist born in 1980. She is primarily known for her sculptural installations and mixed media works that explore the intersections of art, science, and technology. Willenbring's work often incorporates materials such as glass, metal, and electronics, and she is particularly interested in exploring the relationship between organic and inorganic materials.

Willenbring's artwork has been exhibited widely in the United States and internationally, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C., and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice, France. She has received several awards and grants throughout her career, including a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant in 2011 and a Creative Capital Grant in 2019.
