Jasmin Sian
Jasmin Sian is an artist known for her creations using recycled materials, frequently repurposing brown paper bags and other single-use items. In her earlier career, Sian incorporated pigment, gold thread, hand-drawn arabesques, and collaged fabric scraps into her work, which has consistently maintained a miniature scale.

Jasmin Sian was born in 1969 in Leyte, Philippines. Her educational background spans continents and enriches her artistic practice with diverse perspectives and skills.
Her academic journey includes receiving a Certificat des études de la langue Française in 1989 from the Université Catholique d'Angers in Angers, France. Sian also earned a BA in 1991 from the University of Houston in Houston, followed by an MFA in 1998 from the Parsons School of Design in New York.
The artist has been honored with several prestigious awards throughout her career, including the Alliance Française Scholarship in 1989. Additionally, she received the 1998 Joan Mitchell MFA Grant.
Jasmin Sian's works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions held at various galleries and museums worldwide, including Anthony Meier Fine Arts in San Francisco, Museum of Arts and Design in New York, The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu, Brand New Gallery in Milan, John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Kappatos Gallery in Athens, among other esteemed venues.
Currently, the artist lives and works in New York, USA.
