Daphne Wright
Daphne Wright is an Irish artist known for her sculptural works that often explore the themes of mortality, memory, and domesticity. Born in 1963 in Ireland, Wright studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and later at the Chelsea College of Arts in London. She works in a variety of media, including sculpture, video, and drawing. Wright often uses traditional materials such as marble and bronze to create sculptures that depict everyday objects, animals, and human figures, which are imbued with a sense of fragility and vulnerability. Her works have been exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale and the Irish Museum of Modern Art, and are held in numerous public and private collections. Wright currently lives and works in Bristol, England.
