Cassidy Toner

Cassidy Toner is a contemporary artist who was born in Baltimore in 1992 and currently lives in Basel. Her work questions artistic principles, aesthetic values, academic traditions, and existential matters related to behavioral patterns, desire, and prejudice. She graduated from FHNW Institute Kunst in 2018 and has since participated in numerous solo, duo, and group exhibitions, including shows at Kunsthalle Basel, KunstRaumRiehen, C.Rockefeller, Yverdon Art Center, Kai Matsumiya, and Kunsthaus Baselland, among others.

In 2018, Toner was the recipient of the Kunstkredit Award in Basel, and in 2021, she received the Kiefer Hablitzel Prize.
