His artistic journey continued at the School of Fine Arts at Boston University, where he pursued both his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degrees in painting from 1976 to 1982. Under the tutelage of renowned mentors such as Philip Guston, James Weeks, David Aronson, Reed Kay, and John Wilson, Aronson honed his craft, developing a unique blend of precision and expressiveness.

In 1978, Aronson embarked on a transformative journey to Europe, immersing himself in the rich cultural heritage of Greece, France, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy, studying the revered collections that would influence his artistic vision.

Following his academic pursuits, Aronson dedicated several years to educating young minds in the fine arts at Beaver Country Day School, a private high school in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, from 1983 to 1990. However, his passion for architectural illustration led him to transition from teaching to pursue a career in this field in 1990.

Notably, from 1995 to 2007, Aronson was annually invited to impart his expertise in a Drawing Seminar for architecture students at the prestigious Harvard Graduate School of Design, further solidifying his reputation as both an artist and an educator.
