Anthony Iacono

Anthony Iacono is an artist who predominantly works with collages using painted papers. He draws inspiration from the graphic styles of prints and posters to create depictions of figures engaged in what appear to be ordinary situations yet infused with coded language and an air of suspense.

Biography of Anthony Iacono

Anthony Iacono, born in Nyack, NY, in 1987, obtained his BFA from the School of Visual Arts in 2009. In 2013, he graduated from the School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, and in 2017, he received an MFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Iacono has also held artist residencies at institutions such as the Museum of Art and Design in NY, Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program, LMCC Workspace, and ISCP.

Anthony Iacono's solo exhibitions include "Glimpse" at Marinaro in New York (2023), "Edge Play: Drawings" at The Spite House in Philadelphia (2022), "Beware of Pickpockets" at Marinaro in New York (2021), and "Body Double" at Capsule Shanghai in Shanghai (2020), among others.
