ART X Lagos is a platform that supports and showcases contemporary African art and its international diaspora dynamically and vibrantly. It was founded and organized by Tokini Peterside-Schwebig in 2016 and has since become a cornerstone of the African art sector. This fair goes beyond the traditional bounds of an art fair and is the first of its kind in West Africa.

The theme for its eighth edition was "The Dialogue." It emphasized conversation, community, and reflection. Given the challenging times the community faced globally, not just in Nigeria, this theme sought to encourage any gallery, artist, or collector to reimagine the present and initiate conversation and discussion about the ongoing global conversation.

Ten invited galleries will join the conversation, each contributing to the visual arts ecosystem across Africa and the diaspora uniquely. They enable exhibiting artists and gallerists to fulfill their role as important voices in the global conversation.
