Unseen Amsterdam: Event's Program

The fair's program includes the Unseen Photo Fair Amsterdam, Unbound, Book Market, and Meijburg Lounge. Unbound is an independent foundation committed to pushing the boundaries of the photographic universe on a grand scale. It stands as Unseen’s most ambitious project to date, dedicated to exploring the ever-expanding frontiers of photography.

In the upcoming edition, Unseen Festival in Amsterdam will once again feature its renowned Book Market, showcasing around 60 international and national participants. This beloved segment of the fair, dedicated to independent publishers of photography books, will offer a diverse selection of special publications and host several book launches.

When visiting the Meijburg Lounge, you'll find an exhibition of artists shortlisted for the Meijburg Art Commission. The space also features a setup for informal artist talks and a bar, creating a vibrant environment where visitors can take a break, enjoy talks, and attend presentations.

Unseen also provides an exclusive VIP Program that includes special events at the fair, private viewings at museums, exclusive access to private collections, art spaces, and studios.

Unseen Photo Festival Amsterdam: A Global Stage for 65 Exhibitors

Amsterdam’s Photo Fair will welcome 65 galleries this year, including both renowned international photography and contemporary art galleries, as well as emerging initiatives. The fair does not distinguish between these categories, a philosophy highlighted by its iconic circular layout.

The list of participants includes various galleries from around the world, such as 10B Photography (Italy), AB Gallery (South Korea), Albumen Gallery (UK), Blue Lotus Gallery (Hong Kong), MARS Gallery (Australia), and many more. Each gallery brings its unique perspective and expertise, contributing to a rich tapestry of photographic art that spans various styles and innovations. The Unseen Amsterdam Photography Fair’s international scope highlights its role as a significant platform for both established artists and emerging voices in the photography community.

Unseen Amsterdam 2024: Practical Information for Visitors

The fair schedule is quite compact. Unseen Amsterdam 2024 dates are from September 19 to 22. However, the hours during which the exhibitions are presented vary. The private preview will run from 2 to 5 pm on September 19, followed by the private opening from 5 to 10 pm. On the first day of the public opening, the fair will be open from 11 am to 9 pm, and on subsequent days, it will close at 7 pm.

Unseen Amsterdam 2024 location is Westergas, a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of Amsterdam. This historic industrial site, dating back to 1885, has been transformed into a dynamic cultural village, offering a unique and engaging setting for the event.

Visitors can now purchase tickets for the public days of the event. Tickets for Unseen Amsterdam vary in price, including 22.50 euros for a Regular Day Ticket and 16.50 euros for a Student Ticket.
