Chen Chien-Jung

Chen's paintings possess a distinct quality of "specious ambiguity." Although architectural elements and fine drawing lines often fortify the structure of his works, they are also interwoven with patches and drips of color paint, introducing abstract beauty and subtly dissolving or deconstructing the pre-established structure.
