Nick Mauss was born in 1980 in New York, USA. In 2003, he obtained his BFA from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. 

In 2018, he crafted a permanent installation commissioned for Building 66 on the MIT campus in Cambridge, USA, which was unveiled in October 2018.

Mauss has exhibited his works worldwide. His recent solo exhibitions include "Nick Mauss" at Galerie Chantal Crousel in Paris (2024), "Likenesses" at Villa Atrata in La Roche-Posay (2022), "Project Room: End of Day" at 303 Gallery in New York (2022).
